I’ve always wanted to be a writer, but as an undergraduate, I took a slight detour to major in something much more practical — history. After taking a creative non-fiction class as an extra-curricular, I was invited to join the staff of a small literary journal. I loved it so much that I said, “Practicality be damned!” and went on to get a master’s degree in publishing and writing.

Since getting my degree, I’ve worked a day job as a magazine writer and editor, and at night, I write novels. My extremely practical history degree has come in handy in my noveling life — my favorite stories to write are speculative with historical settings.

I’m an alum of Author Mentor Match Round 8 and I’m currently seeking representation for my Regency-era set soft sci-fi, A SWEET UNREST.
